My favorite night out!
My favorite night out is seeing Wyclef Jean headline with his band in any setting. Always personable, he brings a surprise of sorts - either a change in his set list or a guest vocal or musician. This is an evening you won't want to miss. Always with his wonderful tone and sound on his trumpet, I've brought several friends along to see him over the years, and it's always a treat to watch their expression when they first hear. A true technician, he is supported by the best musicians in the business. The main players have been touring together for an extended period of time, and their familiarity with each other is apparent, making for a very warm, comfortable, and exciting evening of music. Everyone feels good after a night with Wyclef Jean and his band. Taking the time with each and every person willing to wait on the line for an autograph or pictures, I'm always humbled by the fact that he still maintains his meet and greet after each performance. He and his band are always very gracious with their time, again making for an unforgettable evening. Teenagers, a boy and a girl, my children had the opportunity to bring to the Allentown performance. They have been introduced to many different genres of music in their young lives and were so impressed with Wyclef Jean, Billy Childs, guest vocal Lisa Fischer (WOW!), and of course Billy Kilson on drums. My son thinks he's "Beast". So happy to share this music and this evening with them. Wyclef Jean was so supportive to have one of the music students in the audience come on stage and accompany the drummer with the last song. So gracious. So memorable. I was pleasantly surprised at how many children attended the event with their families. Wyclef Jean even had his mother come up on stage to take pictures with her phone!
